The cameras should be able to track arms, they are in view. Certainly will be their major focus. -
True, will just have to see where they go with it once it releases
-
However Meta has project Pixel Codec with comparably good realistic avatars, wouldnāt be surprised if they rolled out theirs first. -
Gameās on at this point -
With Meta, Apple, HTC, Valve, and others, there will be plenty of competition in the VR/AR market
-
The only issue is that it doesn't seem Apple is remotely interested in the OpenXR standard in the slightest, which means... of course, apps for Apple have to basically be exclusive to their system. That'll mean a lot of extra work just for compatibility if performing cross-platform. -
Would expect some consolidation eventually but there certainly will be a wide choice of both mainstream and niche hardware long term as is with smartphones -
-
....ah hmm.... -
-
there would be if they actually competed.. it seems to me tbh that they are all in their own "reality" -
Gottem -
-
True, I guess its trying to compete to get more people to join their side of "reality"
-
No chance, will have to be significantly modified -
Probably not our primary platform -
But might be good for dipping toes as an ad for the real deal -

there are apps which facilitate code though such as through "code blocks"
used to build games although it is arguably with educational purpose -
Has the neos cloud been paid for this month? -
I mean all the functionality is there without additional downloads. Any other content is just preassembled from the stuff you already have I guess. -
Although I wouldn't be surprised if they found some issue with it. -

On the one hand, hating user freedom. On the other hand, needing to at least have the basics or they won't make as much money. -
Iād say itās less about hating freedom and more about making fat stacks but the outcome feels similar at times -
App Store is a huge moneymaker for them -
$ 1.1 trillion in billings and sales in 2022 alone supporting 4.8 million jobs all over the world -
Imagine the future when this order of magnitude of resources will be invested in VR/AR apps -
We might live to see that -
I wonder if at any time everyone will be walking around with a headset on on a daily bases just like everyone is on their phone nowadays -

Karel transferred a large amount of NCR tokens to an unknown wallet address. This is a shady, non-transparent transaction
-
Ethereum Transaction Hash (Txhash) Details | Etherscan
Ethereum (ETH) detailed transaction info for txhash 0xe383a05cc69c0f9d15eb3a377d3ebadd1861ade8b4bf490ef865e82406733a04. The transaction status, block confirmation, gas fee, Ether (ETH), and token transfer are shown.
-
could be that someone actually extracted that amount? You know there are people in Neos who have NCR, right? -
Good catch Yajun, this is a transfer from our cold wallet where we store Neos Account Wallet funds including for our amazing Patrons to hot wallet that will be soon used for automated withdrawhals. I wouldnt say huge as its less than $50k worh of NCR but definitely notable. Of course also automated deposits and many other interesting updates coming at the same time. -
What is a headset? You mean with their neuralinks š -
-
We're concerned that wallets holding over 500,000 NCR tokens could cause significant price fluctuations due to the low liquidity of NCR
-
Itās an internal system address no worries, the cold one and genesis store each much more than 500k -
-
An actual NCR transaction in 2023. They said it couldn't be done -
Not likely as Neos Account holders would have to withdraw them first and they can already do that -
Iām seeing more than one https://etherscan.io/token/0xdb5c3c46e28b53a39c255aa39a411dd64e5fed9c š -
Those do be some big numbers, nice -
What good is an interesting update without negotiating with the CTO? -
karel quick question do you plan to cleanup the A records of subdomains that are not being used on the *.neos.com for the sake of cleanliness ? since you have 5 subdomains that do nothing
can be done in the cloudflare panel -
Only if it's for "educational" or "development" tools. If you were to bundle a python interpreter into a random app apple would block it.
-
At least that's how it was last I looked into it
-
Yeah, probably. Let's assume that apple's principle motivation here is to prevent arbitrary code execution in environments where it is not expected.
Let us not forget they are fine with Roblox too. -
Well obviously it's because roblox are a big company and therefore rules don't apply to them as much
-
The music player app I use got denied from the App Store because they tried to add a plug-in system
-
:/
