I only joined since seeing latest trailer. I was then told Neos client info was in Discord, so then I went there and saw projects by other people, but also talks about some updates

Hello😊For the NCR balances in-game, is was already mentioned with the last update that this will be primarily handled through the website. At least for now as NeosVR unfortunatelly doesn’t work the same way. But this functionality will be definitelly included in new Neos clients.
This doesn’t change rewarding Patreon benefits. We are just implementing a better system (pretty much ready at this point) for automated reward tracking and cloud storage buying. Patreons will be given their respective NCR including these for the past few months.
I understand that is has been frustrating for people who got stuck on storage space despite of being Patreon subscribers but we have reviewed every individual case, you just need to let us know and we always aim to make corrections as fast as possible. -

You might have been lucky and your authentication went through, but I wouldn't recommend closing Neos because the same user session endpoint is used to refresh your token.

I'm not the only one, there are posts on the unofficial Neos Discord and some users on other discords as well reporting the same problem.

No account are “lost”. We are implementing quite a complex new system for managing your Patreon and Neos Cloud storage and unfortunately glitches do happen.
The team has been working on fixes the whole night. Soon it should be all in order but we will be “on alert” in case some of your accounts still don’t play the ball.
We apologise that it wasn’t as elegant as intended and we are very grateful for pointing it out fast so it could be made right straight away. The good news is that from now on it should be much better. -
As for the storage, if you have purchased extra storage, received MMC storage prize, or if you are currently a Patreon subscriber of course you will receive your full storage allowance.
Please let us know if you think your balance is not right, and we will address that asap. -

The simple reality is that a day consists of only 24 hours, and in order to ensure the development process is managed effectively and things get done, tasks must be spread out across different stages. This is a normal and necessary part of the process so that we can accomplish our goals. We will be enabling the NCR storage purchasing in the next stage.

This group is about Neos. Like to put the obvious comparison aside for a minute (which I had been vocal about in the appropriate place) , I've had issues with things like discord where they break something and might tell you after or you find a bug they might say "oh cool" on a good day.
In many places it feels like I'm talking to a wall and at least neos is actually saying something. People in neos yesterday were asking about why they couldn't log in with various claims thrown around. I just checked the telegram and saw the post from Andrea and read it out to people in Neos which seemed to help calm them down at least -
So far whenever theres been a discord outage we've received updates for it on the status tracker in a timely manner

For those that may not be aware, a critical vulnerability was recently identified in the libwebp library which impacts Neos (via the FreeImage library).
