  • TLDR you can’t make in game build tools, which is Neos’ whole MO. But that doesn’t matter, as it seems the goal of Coopers Planet is to make a crypto idle clicker and not function like Neos does in any capacity. Andrea can gladly prove me wrong and explain how it would actually be compliant with Unreal license terms

  • Wow. The future of Neos is cookie clicker?
Well hell, don't we already have cookie clicker in the essentials folder?
  • probably has more functionality than Coopers Planet

This whole story with neos is sad. It ended up launching another one of many very same "metaverse" projects just to pump the token. This is how shit management ends. A very sad story
  • The story of Neos is sad, yes, but everyone involved who made Neos the software itself have made their own project called Resonite. I’d recommend you look into that if interested
  • Yep, i saw that and i think it has a great chance to become something neos could be
  • @firstnamelastnamewow #54373 07:21 PM, 27 Oct 2023
In a way, neos never died, it just got rebranded and unleashed to its full potential
  • @milianek #54374 07:21 PM, 27 Oct 2023
From the “crypto perspective” it is dead
  • @1505307041 #54375 07:22 PM, 27 Oct 2023
You can still buy storage lmfao

It's the only thing they've really worked on
  • @milianek #54377 07:24 PM, 27 Oct 2023
This coopers island thing is just very poor attempt to pump the price of ncr. Most interesting thing is, its not the first time. I cant forget how they made tons of buybacks instead of dealing with bad management
  • Yeah, but from the crypto perspective, nothing sets it apart from any other project
  • @milianek #54379 07:26 PM, 27 Oct 2023
“Token first. Product, delivery, management, strategy, communication and customer second”
  • @firstnamelastnamewow #54380 07:34 PM, 27 Oct 2023
I see. I came to Neos for creation and socialization. Neither of those required the token. That there is why 100% of the Neos community jumped ship. It wasn’t even “some stayed and some left”. Literally everyone left

I honestly wonder what the right move would have been. I feel like the burn vote was the point of no return, but I wonder what could have been done to insulate the project and the community from the pump and dump.
  • I don’t know if there was a right one. NCR needed the community, but the community didn’t need NCR. It was fine when it took a backseat role, but the moment NCR tried to take a more central part of the project, it was clear that they both couldn’t coexist as they wanted. And now we have a community with no coin and a coin with no community. One much worse off than the other
  • Save for the creators that were compensated for their community contributions via CDFT. NCR was here for a long time, and generally it wasn't minded. There was a culture clash with the people who weren't on board with far more subtle role of NCR and CDFT, but the specific cultural line wasn't NCR, that's been here for years and it didn't cause this kind of chasem, it was how the boom was handled.

Not sure we can just be like "well, that community is better off" when a lot of the work done is inherited from the CDFT system, and now the people who contributed just sort of have to eat the loss.

I guarantee if the situation wasn't tangled up in a power struggle the community would have been having a far more nuanced discussion on how to transition the economy without leaving those community developers holding the bag.
  • That is very true. At that point, NCR was much more predictable. When it turned into a speculative asset and went wild, it tanked its usefulness as a unit of doing business
  • @firstnamelastnamewow #54385 08:02 PM, 27 Oct 2023
Guess you can blame the metaverse craze for that
  • @firstnamelastnamewow #54386 08:03 PM, 27 Oct 2023
If NCR stayed as a utility token, this likely wouldn’t have gone to shit, but it tried to be both. You can’t do both at the same time well

    Hello.
I am new to Telegram and apologize in advance if I am using it rudely.
I am no longer seeing the NCR and storage space that I had before in NeosVR. Is there a contact person I can contact to get this resolved?
