A lot of the issues come from the funds not going where they should have been used, namely game development, and the coin basically not having any utility in game while tarnishing the game's reputation across outside communities because of its forced integration. Karel and froox etc have to come to an understanding that would benefit both the platform (Which in this case would be not including the coin as first party) and allowing NCR to have special advantages over other currencies for payment options

The lack of traditional payment methods is a huge point of contention for new players

I'd disagree with the slipping technicaly lead, while VRC are trying to catch up their solutions are frankly a bit in bad taste for most of us avatar creators, and things like OCR being integrated as a primary solution to input is a very bleak outlook.
